• Re: Want to go to AFROTC

Hey guys sorry for the late response, and thanks for all the replies. The only medical problems i currently have are, that i dont have 20/20 vison, plus i have alopecia, but i doubt that really matters. As for criminal history, i just have one misdemeanor for skipping school (bad mayonase incident that went bad). As far as my Ap classes i am ...

  • Re: war

I agree with PAVEBRA. There is obviously no WMD's but now that we are in Iraq we have a duty and obligation to stabilize the country seeing as how we toppled their government in the first place, not to mention the promises of democracy and peace we have made to the Iraqi people. But on a more selfish note (America's safety and well ...

  • Realistic chances of me becoming a USAF fighter pilot

Since I was very young I have wanted to become a USAF fighter pilot but I have had to wear glasses since I was in third grade. As result during high school and college I abandoned my dream of becoming a pilot. I went to UT Austin earned my Bachelors of Arts in Government and started working and studying for the LSAT to apply to ...

  • Re: Air Force vs. Navy

You wanna know how I would decide? I'd decide on the one who accepts me.. If I have trouble having the AF accept me then try NAVY. If they accept you, its a pilot seat no matter what branch.. Then after that start looking at the life, Aircraft carriers you live on.. stay out at sea. Airforce always on land, get to go camping in the desert ...

  • Re: General Questions of the USAF??

First off, you wanna be an officer. Can you afford college before hand? because I would reccomend doing that and ROTC. Since you wanna be on the flight line you will probably pull long shifts and won't have much time for college. I was a F-16 Crewchief , I was on all shifts from days to skeleton crew. days I pulled at least 10hrs everyday. Swings ...

  • Re: cavities in the military

Teeth are just a deployment factor. If its severe, you cannot deploy until you get it taken care of. When I was enlisted my wisdom teeth were compacted, I could not deploy untill I got them removed. So no need to worry.

  • Re: USAF fighter pilot

Talk to your supervisor at your squadron. When I was enlisted they told me there used to be something called bootstrap, I beleive. It's where they let you out of active duty, pay for your school, commision you and bring you back in. I was going to look into it but I got out and now I'm just doing AFROTC. I don't know if you have already but make ...

  • Re: Airforce Fighter pilot outlook

Having a 3.3 in an engineering major at a good school shouldn't hurt too much. I don't know exactly how competitive pilot slots are out of ROTC units now, but you never know until you try.
