To anyone who can help.I am not a military pilot, but I love to read alot of aviation books. I was recently reading a naval Aviation Book about life on a Carrier during Dessert Storm and some terminology was used many times which I don't understand. It's called ''Entering the Break'' and ''Breaking the Deck''. These terms are used ...

  • Re: hello all

Funny...when I was in Iraq, it seemed like the local folks were happy to have us around...but then again that's just first-hand experience. Oh, yes, and their English was better than yours. My guess is that you are a liberal college student from New England who is posing as an Iraqi to make a point...but I digress...The news media seems to think ...

  • Re: So I want to be a Marine Fighter Pilot

Hey, I like your style. Most of us came through PLC or the Academy ( a handful from NROTC). You literally have a bunch of options open and all of them can get you into a fighter -- although PLC is the one that can get you an ''air contract.''Edhttp://www.fighter-pilot.org

  • Re: Vision requirements????

Indeed, that is the #1 question! You are not alone.PRK is your best option -- currently the AF, Navy, and Marines all accept waivers for PRK provided that you meet requirements post-op (20/30 - 20/70) and are at least 3 months out of the surgery. The other good news is that the rules get looser and looser all of the time.I've got a couple of ...

This means, intelligent, plays sports, has an after school ...
