Does having a floater in your eye hinder your chances of becoming a good pilot? Do any pilots have these darn things in thier eyes? They are those little black lines that seem to dart around in your field of vision when you move your eyes around.

Do any pilots, either military or civilian have to deal with floaters in your eyes? You know, those little black lines that seem to dart about in your field of vision whenever you move your eye around? I have one myself and I'm wondering if other pilots have to deal with them and how they cope.

I am a Male in excellent health wanting to get into military aviation. I would love to be a pilot. However I have the following pros and cons:
Cons.
1. Age = 44 (Aug 2006)
2. Vision at 9 diopters but correctable to 20/20 (currently with contacts)

By the way, would I really have a better shot at flying with the Navy than the Air Force? I can think of many reasons why this would be true, but I'm not sure.
