Where are you pulling ''10 years'' from?   It would depend on what your contract said, I assume.

If someone joined the Selected Reserve with an eight year agreement, and then wanted to transfer to active duty after they had served, say three years, could they then transfer to active duty with an 5 year agreement to active duty, or would they have to agree to serve for another ten years?
