I have inherited and Allison V1710. The engine has been crated since its overhaul in 1945. I an quite curios about the engine if anyone can help me to gain information on it I would appretiate it. In addition is it possible to gain information on this specific engine?

If no one else has mentioned it, the book "Vee's For Victory!" by Dan Whitney is a good place to start. Also, you may Google the Aircraft Engine Historical Society for information. The Allison is a very nice engine too. Good luck.

Do you still have the engine? Would you consider selling the engine?
