I was thinking about entering this flying contest where you build a plane and attempt to fly it off a 30ft ramp into the wild blue yonder (or straight into the water), wondering if anyone in here has any suggestions. The general rules are:
1-human powered
2-wingspan of 30' or less
3-less than 450 lbs
I need to submit my plan by May 27 and the event is on August 9.

Yes... Start dieting now. Either that, or train a midget pilot. Since you're limited to 450 pounds *inclusive* of pilot, and there is no minimum weight, this contest strongly favors the team with the lightest pilot.
