Big Smile [:D] Allison v-1710 supercharger

Does anyone know of a supercharger for a allison v 1710.  Needed for a display engine at the Yankee air museum.   Does not need to function just need case to be in decent shape.

I know of some around .  Where are you located and are you willing to pay for some of the expenses?

    Re: Allison v-1710 supercharger

I am located in southeast Michigan. As for the expenses it would depend on the amount. Pesonally I can chip in some of it but I cannot vouche for how much the museum can budget. Depending on your location I may be able to do a weekend pickup if we can come to an agreement. Or you can always come and visit us and see first hand what we are working towards.

Sorry for the delay in reply. There has been little resopnse and I haven't been checking as often. Thank you for offering your help any lead is greatly appreciated.......Now if you know of a Hisspano Suiza V8 laying around for our Spad project you would have my eternal gratitude...LOLBig Smile

    Re: Allison v-1710 supercharger

Forward the SN of the allison engine you have and I will get you info on the supercharger.  If it is an early model I should be able to help .

    Re: Allison v-1710 supercharger

I will be out there this weekend and will get all the info I can. We are pretty sure it is an early model by the placemnent of the magnetos (straight up versus angled).

Thanks again for your help. I will post anything I find Saturday afternoon.Yes

    Re: Allison v-1710 supercharger

The data plate has beeen missing from the engine for sometime so this is the best I can do for info......

    Most likely a V1710-F3R from a P-40

Stomberg Carb serial #51635 part #30128E

Delco Remy throttle control serial #A20Y590, control#43075,main lever#43790

    Carb base plate is rectangular.

Carb data plate states aircraft application as P-40.

    I hope this is useful!

    Re: Allison v-1710 supercharger

We have a supercharger case but could still use the rear carb mounting plate for the carb type as above.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!Geeked
