why the F16A with F100-PW-200 engine must to pull FWD the throttele to full military power and then back to idle only afterwards he can shut down the engine?

There are many things that different aircraft do to there engines whilst on the ground to keep them in working order. The B-1B for instance while at RIAT kept powering up its engines every 30 minutes and would tick them over. Im sure there is a symple explanation for this. but it will probably all boil down to the fact these messures increase the life of the engine.

After each flight an oil sample is taken from the engine to check for metals etc.
The advance of the throttle to 75-78% power for 5-10 seconds before shutdown is to scavenge oil.
