Job Responsibilities:
The following tasks represent the duties and responsibilities a Dispatcher is expected to accomplish. Our focus on Attitude, Teamwork, & Customer Service at National Aviation Academy (NAA) is paramount to the success of our organization.
• Dispatch aircraft using proper check-out and check-in procedures
• Know the location of all NAA aircraft, instructors, and students at all times
• Tracks destinations and ensures aircraft are only dispatched to approved locations
• Notify the Supervisor of Flight of any condition which may adversely affect continued operation
• Ensures proper accountability of aircraft and crews and notifies the Supervisor of Flight or Director of Operations of any overdue status
• Monitor and Maintain flight schedule for MX (Maintenance) and WX (Weather) cancellations and make adjustments accordingly
• Report all incidents/irregularities to management immediately and in accordance with company policies
• Track upcoming maintenance due times and schedule aircraft for required maintenance
• Maintain an appropriate flow of aircraft through the maintenance department to maximize fleet availability
• Resolves airworthiness issues through coordination and communication with maintenance department
• Coordinate any maintenance activities that take place away from away from home base by utilizing the “Off-Field Maintenance Checklist”
• Coordinate refueling operations for the fleet and report any refueling support problems to Supervisor of Flight
• Manage pilot store sales and inventory
• Completes daily reports regarding flight time summaries, cancellations, FTD utilization and billable hours as well as other operations metrics to management are requested
• Coordinates FAA Checkride Scheduling to assure asset availability
• Keeps dispatch area clean and organized
• Performs other duties as assigned
