• Re: Air Force Academy Admissions

I'm not sure about the sports scholarships. I wasn't admitted based on sports. I was admitted based on the normal way that most people are admitted. I just applied and was accepted. Keep in mind, even if they want you for sports, you still have to get a nomination.

  • Re: Air Force Academy- Getting in?

I was accepted to the Air Force Academy this year. You're not too tall. I have a friend who went to the same high school as me that is in the AFA right now who is taller than you. You can still be a pilot at that height to I believe. Get the best grades you can and be as involved in everything as you possibly can. If ...

  • Re: Air Force Academy Admissions

I am a senior in high school and I was accepted to the Air Force Academy. I can tell you that your chances are looking good so far. YOU MUST keep up the good grades. Academics is the most important thing in the selection process. Take the most challenging courses possible and get an A. At the same time, be involved in ...

  • Re: i was wondering if a person who is paralized can become a pilot.

I really hate the break the news... but there is no chance of becoming a pilot. You won't pass the FC-1. This is a flight physical that tests everything and anything medically wrong with a person. They won't even let a person missing a finger become a pilot. Fighter pilots have to be in top physical conditioning and able to ...

  • Re: Air Force Academy

I am saying that. The reason is because I've heard from a well reputed source that the academy is not the place to go to become a doctor. This came from an admissions book. The academy is the best place for people that want to become pilots. The academy is a very challenging place for only the most motivated ...

  • Re: Please Help! HS Senior in Distress

Hello, I'm also a senior in high school in hopes of becoming a fighter pilot. There is only one drawback in my circumstances. I have mitral valve prolapse. Apparently this is a pilot disqualification. Is there any chance I can get a waiver for this to become a pilot? My blood pressure is normal as well as my heart ...

  • Re: Air Force Academy

If you want to become a doctor why don't you go to another college. Save the slot for somebody who really wants to be a pilot since the the Air Force Academy is the best way to be a pilot. If you wanna be a doctor there are plenty of other routes that would not contain near as much stress. Now, if you wanna be an officer in the ...
