  • Good logbook software needed!

I need a good software logbook that is approved for use and which would be helpful in an Airline Job application situation. Preferably with the ability to use conversion factors and distinguish between PART1 and PART61.51 PIC time.

  • Re: New Site Launch

Hi Paul Great pics on your site. Can I ask you how this was taken? I would think a photopod on another aircraft, but maybe you were standing on a hill with a good zoom. http://www.cobd.co.uk/p_j_p/graphics/hawk_pan.jpg

  • Re: Avitop logo & code on php-nuke

Hi Avionet I haven't played around with php-nuke myself, but isn't there a HTML header or footer you just can ad the Aviation Top 100 code to? We have a couple of php-nuke sites on our list

  • Re: Factors affecting Vmc

First of all - Why don't you want to tell the name of the book? I can follow your theory, but am pretty sure that the P-factor far outweighs this. Especially in the size plane you are going to fly. Maybe on a big multiengine airplane the factors are more equal. You said you are a multi engine student. How far are you in the progress? The ...

  • Re: Will the plane take off?

No, you would never get lift on the wings since the plane is not moving in relation to the relative wind.

  • Re: Factors affecting Vmc

Hi ndg Yes it is true and also tested. Vmc is the calibrated airspeed at which, when the critical engine is suddenly made inoperative, it is possible to maintain control of the aeroplane with that engine still inoperative and then maintain straight flight at the same speed with an angle of bank of not more than 5 degrees. When weight goes up ...

  • Re: extremely new, but have questions

Now is a good time to start. After you get your commercial license you will need to get a lot of hours in a small company and by the time you are ready for the majors, probably in 6 years, the industry will have turned.

  • Re: Points Taken

Hi Topspeed - If you compare the F16 vs F-16XL both with F-100-pw-200 engines the F-16 has a higher top speed. Why, I can't tell you. Manueverability - Yes, the Mirage 2000 is a Delta winged airplane and not a poor dogfighter at all. I would however pick an F-16 any day in a dogfight. The Delta winged Mirage 2000 has a higher instantaneous turn ...
