A degree is the first step. Passing the military training is the second step. Your skills, health, and other aptitude tests are another. It's intense training and screening with intense competition.
Having previous flight experience will not necessarily be a huge factor in you being chosen to become a fighter pilot.

Well, if you wish to fly in the Air Force you're going to need to finish that degree.
If you have 3 1/2 years of college I strongly suggest riding out the boredom and finishing that degree.
It will help you whatever you decide to do, including becoming a pilot. You're 22 years old still. Young. You can do whatever you want. Whatever you desire,

I don't think the income is that huge. I heard the starting salary as an apprentice is ~$30k/year and it maxes out at like ~80k/year when you are experienced.
