  • China Eastern A340's

Can anybody tell me what type of A340 China Eastern operates? I used to live in Shanghai when i was still in high school and i can remember flying from there to Beijing to Belgium (I'm Dutch) in A340's and it would be interesting for me to know what type they flew. It was fun flying with them because they were usually halfull or empty so you had 4 ...

  • Re: Groundspeed Records

Hi again, On request of many of you I have expanded the aircraft database on this site. So from now on everybody flying some kind of twin can sent in their pictures. Enjoy!!! Whisky p.s. Don't forget your ...

  • Re: stalling while pulling negative g's

Not to be mean, but I find it kind of sad if your instructors couldn't explain that to you :) You probably know that when an aircraft stalls it is because the angle of attack becomes so high that the airflow starts to separate from the top of the wing and the wing is stalling. When pulling negative G's, you will have negative angle of attack and ...

  • stalling while pulling negative g's

Is this possible? A bunch of flight instructors, CFI students and CFII students were stumped today when we were all looking at a graph that if I remember right shows the relationship between stalling speed and g-forces. The Graph shows that it is possible to stall while pulling negative G's. Or maybe that the stalling speed of an aircraft ...

  • Fall of Saddam

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- In a symbolic strike against Saddam Hussein's crumbling regime, Iraqis and U.S. Marines on Wednesday pulled down a towering statue of the Iraqi leader at Baghdad's center.
