Not to get into a Pi***** contest, but it is fact that the Scandinavians (Norwegians & Danes) perform better than their US Airforce counterparts during their pilot training (They train the same place in US)
But maybe your Navy selection is much better than your Airforce, I don't know.

[It depends on the country.
In denmark it takes around 5 years.
1 year basic military training and flying prop aircraft.
2 years academy
15 months basic jet training in USA
1 year conversion to f16

I don't know, but you can get to fly a MiG-29, MiG-25, Su-27 or L-39 with Incredible ...
