Just to clarify. When I talk about dogfight I mean a visual (merged) fight.

KenV wrote:If you're going to hit a tanker on your mission, you do it mid-mission, much closer to the target area. You plan to fly to your prudent limit of endurance taking into account alternate landing sites plus some margin, and that's where you schedule your tanker rendezvous. I am not talking about an overweight situation. Max weight and max T/O weight is not necessaryly the same. Don't know what the case is in the XL.Just because you are heavy when you start your mission doesn't mean you are going to be heavy when you encounter enemy fighters. Hi Lt.I still think you can benefit from speech therapy when you are older, but I am no expert on the subject. Also, maybe a speech therapist will be able to tell you about your chances of getting rid of this all together. Is surgery an option?Yes, I am a pilot.Regards RUN

Hi Lt.It all depends how bad the problem is. Communication is big and extremely important part of flying. A lot of critical com. is taking place while you are engaged in Combat and also while just flying around in the instrument pattern back at the base. It is absolutely crucial that all com. is fast and clear.Have you tried working your problem ...
