[What is the composite of jet fuel, is it similar to say formula one fuel that is highly concentrated with alcohol (extremely volatile correct me if I'm mistaken) I'm thinking its a low combustion fuel due to the intense heat generated by the engine. Example, I've read that if you dropped a match on the fuel desiginated for an SR-71 it would extinguish the match.

It's actually more like diesel fuel. The octane rating in jet fuel is pretty high and a lot of additives has been added to give it a high flamepoint. Most fighters actually use the fuel to cool different stuff down so it can get pretty hot.
