Taiwan's China Airlines just selected A330 for fleet renewal. The batch of 12 aircrafts would be delivered from 2004 to 2007.

This is a very wise selection, as China Airlines is operating 5 A340 already, and choosing A330 would minimize crew training and maintenance costs.

The Press Release also said China Airlines is the airline in the world with highest utilization rate of 15 hours 19 minutes daily for A340. It's so strange for such high utilization rate and poor maintenance of China Airlines do not cause any accidents for China Airlines A340.
