[HI John! I've got a question... I'm hopeing to join the RRDAF in
a year or two, but I have tried flying(As
a passanger) in a glider, And I got airsick... That sucks!
could this have anything to do with the fact that I had only slept
for about 3-4 hour the sam night? Can one
get used to the effekts on the body, so one would'nt get airsick? Or
is it just to bad and that's it? I remember
from some time I spend sailing, that if I was the
one to stear the boat, i did'nt get seasick, but if I
just stood passive, I'd get sick... Is it the same when flying?
I really hope to be able to join the airforce, it's my greatest dream!!!
    Regards Simon
PS: jeg har også kontaktet dig via ICQ,
og håber meget at vi en dag kan få en
lille chat om alt dether med at blive pilot...
    :-)]

If you are experiencing air-sickness it's probably because you are not used to it. Dont be afraid if you are air sick because some the best pilots in the world have all been sick in their aircraft at one time or another (come on RUN, own up). People seem to get airsickness confussed as though it is some kind of disease, it's not a disease and it can be treated as RUN explained. You need to get up flying as often as possible. Some pilots dont actually realise why airsickness occurrs, it's actually got something to do with fear of flying on a subconsious level, so the key is to get over that fear first. I hope I did'nt sound like an agony aunt.

    Hope that helps
