Airbus & Boeing aircraft interior designs

Airbus & Boeing aircraft interior designs

It is concluded that Airbus has far better aircarft interior designs than Boeing.

Airbus uses only articulated bins instead of drop down in its cabin (except for upper deck side blocks of A380). This not only ensures safety of passengers sitting below when the bins are opened, but also ensures the amount of space under the bin the same at all times (there are less space below the drop down bins when they are opened). This also ensures the full utilization of the bin spaces.

But Boeing uses drop down bins for middle block of all widebodies, and above all seats of 767-400 & 777. This is not a good design.

Airbus also puts more emphasis on passenger comfort than Boeing, as seen from wider seats of A320s compared to Boeing single aisle aircrafts (18in vs 17in), absence of business class middle seat for most Airbus widebody aircrafts (but almost all B777 & B747 have business class middle seat) for more privacy & comfort, use of 2 blocks of 2 abreast seats instead of 1
block of 4 abreast in middle block economy class of Airbus widebodies middle block for more space.

Not only this, Airbus widebodies have 17.8in wide economy class seats, better than 17in wide seats of B747 & B777 in 10-abreast layout.

    Welcome for discussion.
