The rise and fall of Boeing & Airbus

There is no doubt that Boeing used to be good, but those days are over. B737NG recycles most of the 1960's technology, just because Boeing cannot create anything new so they hype what they have and run the Spaceman & US Presdient ads to cover their dark thihgs. If Boeing did come out with a superior product again, I would be interested and unbiased towards it, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. A380 is about to hit side by side with A330-200F. B767-200/-300 flight crews cannot migrate to B767-400 because of different type rating. A smaller quadjet from Boeing is a long way off. By the time they hit, the smaller A330-800/-900 replacing A300/A310 and A340-800/-900 of same size as A330-800/-900 will be around.

Boeing is behind now, they lost their technology lead. If they regain it maybe I will consider them, but if not then I will not recommend them.

    All Hail the new king.

It is Mcdonnell Douglas vs Lockheed all over again.
