    Communication

When the fighters are in the air are all of them on the same communicaton line? for ex., what if two jets are in a dog fight against two other jets. would they be talking to their rear, and not be able to say anything because the other guy is talking?

All modern fighters have atleast two radios. All aircraft in a package (typical package 40 a/c) will normally use one one frequency for big picture com. It is important that this frequency is only used for very important information, which is a factor to everybody. Normally each little 4 ship has their own frequency to talk on (This freq is used for support within the 4 ship. fx threat call or dogfights).

    Hope that helps
