Full Time Hourly Flight Instructor Position(s)

Objective: Provide flight training to National Aviation Academy customers in the safest manner while adhering to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and National Aviation Academy Operations Manuals.
Essential Functions: * Assist in Curriculum development * Provide professional ground and flight instruction to National Aviation Academy customers that meet Academy standards. * Conduct maintenance test flights as well as demonstration flights, as required * Maintain accurate Academy training records and report to their assigned supervisor * Maintain the highest level of safety at all times * Manage student workload appropriately and maintain superior customer service * Ensure student training records are complete, accurate and up to date * Conduct instruction using only National Aviation Academy and FAA approved training material. * Discuss all training plans with customers prior to performing services. * Periodically act as Supervisor of Flight to ensure aircraft are tied down and to provide flight following service when Dispatch staff complete their duty time * Periodically teach ground school lessons

Required Education / Experience / Certifications:
Hold a current FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot. Certificate Hold a current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate, with Single and Multi-Engine, and Instrument Ratings Hold a current FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate or higher
This is an hourly full time position. Pay is $18-26 per hour based on experience level and instructor qualifications.

National Aviation Academy (NAA) has been training aviation professionals since 1932. It is one of the few aviation schools that offer both aviation maintenance and professional pilot training programs. The primary mission of NAA is preparing students for employment in the aviation industry.
The Tampa Bay campus is in Clearwater, Florida. NAA Tampa Bay is awarded the accreditation through the Council on Occupational Education (COE). The Tampa Bay campus has a partnership with St. Petersburg College so students can explore educational advancement opportunities. The main 32,000 square foot campus houses aviation maintenance courses, avionics technology and administrative offices. Three additional facilities are located at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. These buildings feature pilot training, maintenance hangars, special program classrooms as well as some administrative offices. The St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport is home International Airport is also home to the largest and busiest Air Station for the United States Coast Guard.
