  • Re: Is there any chance of me becoming a fighter pilot?

Chances are if you work hard and get active you should have no problem getting in. You can't really go by your body size when your 12. Many things change when you hit puberty. When I was 12, I was 5'2'', 165pounds. Now I'm 14years 9months. I currently stand 5'11'' 165pounds. When I was 12 I ran close to a 8:30 mile. Now I run a 5:58. When you pick ...

  • Re: job of a fighter pilot in 5 years

robonut625:You might not get to dogfight, but you'd still get to fly some of the baddest jets around! Hey, if you're looking for an adreneline rush while you're flying, look into a career in airplane racing. I don't know how you break into that field, but a high speed airplane race would sure give you one heck of an adreneline rush!I agree with ...

  • Re: Getting Prepared For The Air Force Academy as a middle schooler.

Well thanks for the replys. Basicly I really didn't get interested in planes till the end of 7th Grade. That basicly because I havn't riden in a plane till this time last year. But now I got my eyes set on the goal. I belive I started this fourm in the beggining of the school year. I know have All A's. Probaly top 15% of my grade. As far as ...

  • Re: Do you think the F - 16 will be replaced soon?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't the F-22 use less fuel because it can reach mach 2 without after burners. Or would it goble more due to the twin engines?I don't care what plane Selfridge ANGB gets. Aslong as there is somthing to watch during the summer. I mean right now they have the F-16s and they due and exceptional job. Liek during ...

  • Re: Re:F16 Sims

I'm fine with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 here. You can't shoot but you get the feel for the plane your flying. I mean you can download model add-ons, and put them in your game. For a F-16 model in FS2004 I suggest Kirk Olssons F-16 Model/Jake

  • Re: AFA PREPERATION??

Thats interestesting. An ''A+'' in the US means all problems are completed and correct.A ''F'' in the US means 1 of 2 things. Not handed in, or Below 50% of your anwsers are wrong. All grades from the semester are averaged; So say I got 2 A+ and 2 F. My average would be a C. C is considered average. Now wherever your average grade lines up on the ...

  • Re: AFA PREPERATION??

Yeah, 3.3 probably isn't going to do it. You always have to remeber, theres always someone else trying to do better then you. Its a fact of life. Just remember try your hardest to do good on your school work. Take no short cuts. Ask when you don't understand. Read books about planes. Also talk to your teachers about general things when you have a ...

  • Re: job of a fighter pilot in 5 years

I'm not an expert in this but your chances of getting into a dog fight now days is close to none. I've read you get some training on it, but it is never used in real combat situations. Now i'm not a real pilot and only 14 years old, so i'm not 100% sure, but I remember reading that somewhereJake
