We take pride in&lt;br&gt;delivering exceptional service to our customers, and&lt;br&gt;providing our employees the experience of a lifetime…&lt;br&gt;being part of a multi-cultural, global community which is&lt;br&gt;shaping the future of our organization and touches the lives&lt;br&gt;of people all over the world.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;• Responsible for continuous monitoring of the&lt;br&gt;maintenance status of aircraft in line operations by close&lt;br&gt;communication with Maintenance Planning, Line Stations,&lt;br&gt;Flight Crews and Flight Ops.&lt;br&gt;• Manages out of service aircraft activities&lt;br&gt;• Manages short term scheduled maintenance activities&lt;br&gt;• Ensures proper use and interpretation of company GMM&lt;br&gt;and other related company procedures&lt;br&gt;• Reviews and audits log pages for proper MEL/CDL usage&lt;br&gt;and deferral process&lt;br&gt;Manages and controls the deferred maintenance process&lt;br&gt;which includes:&lt;br&gt;• Correct MEL/CDL usage.&lt;br&gt;• Issuing control numbers and expiration dates to field&lt;br&gt;personnel&lt;br&gt;• Ensures proper tracking is maintained to avoid over-flying&lt;br&gt;approved deferral limits&lt;br&gt;• Ensures Deferred Items (DI) are corrected in a timely&lt;br&gt;manner&lt;br&gt;• Processes MEL extensions as required for approval by&lt;br&gt;Chief Mechanic and Chief Inspector&lt;br&gt;• Coordinates and schedules ground time, manpower and&lt;br&gt;parts at Line Stations to correct maintenance&lt;br&gt;discrepancies.&lt;br&gt;• Provides technical expertise to assist in troubleshooting&lt;br&gt;and fault diagnosis aircraft systems.&lt;br&gt;• Completes the management reports of fleet performance&lt;br&gt;• Ensures all aircraft delays are properly coded&lt;br&gt;• Coordinates “on call” maintenance at all stations.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Requirements • Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)&lt;br&gt;Airframe and Powerplant Certificate&lt;br&gt;• 5 years transport category aircraft maintenance&lt;br&gt;experience (747-200/777 Preferred)&lt;br&gt;• Previous Maintenance Control experience preferred&lt;br&gt;• Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR)&lt;br&gt;governing aircraft certification and maintenance&lt;br&gt;• Ability to work in fast pace environment&lt;br&gt;• Flexible work schedule required including shift, weekend,&lt;br&gt;and holidays&lt;br&gt;• Must possess excellent written and verbal&lt;br&gt;communication skills&lt;br&gt;• Working knowledge of Microsoft software and digital&lt;br&gt;manuals&lt;br&gt;• College degree in aviation related field preferred&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Southern Air is an equal opportunity employer.
