Would your lessor friends be interested in funding and then dry leasing these 747s to a startup airline in the US? I have a group in mind that needs around $750 K in venture capital, will start an IPO (begin to sell stock) of $25 M, and lease three older 747s. They are wanting to take advantage of the New Open Skies agreement between the US and Japan. The money loaned would be paid back quickly, not to mention the stock options the lessors will also benefit from. We have a business plan available for review if they are seriously interested in this.
