Then it's actually nicer than a conventional stick.

run

[Hmm..I am surprised at this, with my stick it moves at least 2.5 inches in all directions, does this not make the F-16 difficult to handle becuase it must be very sensitive with so little movement in the stick, basically I think it would be so sensitive that even the slightest movement would make a nice response to the control surfaces, would I be right to say this? I mean 1/4 of an inch is not a great amount.

Regards
Rapier

Yes, that's correct.
The stick can only move 1/4 of an inch maximum in all directions?]

Re:F-16 Stick force?

*** Posted by Rapier ***
Hmm..I am surprised at this, with my stick it moves at least 2.5 inches in all directions, does this not make the F-16 difficult to handle becuase it must be very sensitive with so little movement in the stick, basically I think it would be so sensitive that even the slightest movement would make a nice response to the control surfaces, would I be right to say this? Maximun noseup and nosedown pitch commands are genrated by 25 and 16 pounds of input, respectively. Roll commands are generated by a maximum of 17 pounds in cruise gains and by 12 pounds in takeoff and landing gains.

-The throttle can be adjusted to whatever you like.

- As soon as there is a change in pressure on the stick, the aircraft will respond accordingly

[Run,

How much force do you have to use to move the stick and throttle in the F-16 roughly taking a guess?
